Helm began as the internal operating platform for Small & Camara, CPAs LLP. As practicing CPAs and firm partners, we ran into the same problems firms everywhere deal with:

Helm does not replace professional tax software or professional judgment. It exists to clear away what gets in the way of both — the busywork, the repeated back-and-forth, the friction between a firm and the people it serves.
We did not build Helm because accounting firms need more software.
We built it because they need less.
